Aeronautical Cartography For Auditors
Introduction Location

 

Objectives Course Code
  • To have a general review regarding to the main principals of cartography, Maps and Aeronautical Charts.
  •  To be familiar with the principals of design and drawing maps and aeronautical Charts
  • To be Familiar with the main principals and basics of audit procedures regarding cartography and ICAO aeronautical charts according to the recommendations of ICAO Annex 4 “Aeronautical Chart” and ICAO DOC. 8697 “Aeronautical Chart Manual”.
  •  To be familiar with the main principals and basics of ICAO Doc. 8168 “Aircraft Operations”.
  • To be familiar with the main methods of survey that related to the production of aeronautical ICAO charts
  • Able to inspect on the Navigational Charts Service provider deliverables.
  •   Familiar with all digital data sources that used in the charts productions such as Digital Elevation Model “DEM” data.
  •  Enable the participants of making the quality control procedures for the Aeronautical Charts that will be published in the AIP and also the necessary amendments in the amendment cycle.
  •   By the end of this course the instructors will help the participants to be able to check all data concerned to all ICAO aeronautical charts.

Prerequisite
  • Master The Oral And Written Expression Of The Language Of Instruction Of The Course
  • The participant should be a cartographer and hold a Basic and advanced Aeronautical Cartography Certificate.
